Names like Zostel Pushkar, Moustache Pushkar, and Madpackers Pushkar are the ones most backpackers already know, all a short walk from the lake and main temples.
Guesthouses and boutique hotels: A step up in comfort and privacy, still generally within walking distance of the lake and main sights. Places like Inn Seventh Heaven and Hotel Kanhaia Haveli are popular picks in this bracket, a solid middle ground if you want your own space without stretching to resort pricing.
Heritage resorts: Pushkar and nearby Ajmer have a handful of genuinely beautiful heritage properties, old havelis and palace-style buildings converted into resorts, with the architecture doing a lot of the work. Sajjan Bagh Heritage Resort and Bhanwar Singh Palace are well-known examples. These suit travellers prioritising comfort, service, and a sense of occasion, often at a higher price point.
Pushkar Desert camps.
